LOUISVILLE PLUNGE

Louisville Plunge
The Polar Plunge marks its 19th year in Louisville on Saturday, February 25, when the Biggest Chill in Town hits the water once again at the Brown-Forman Amphitheater at Waterfront Park.

More than 1,000 are expected to return to the riverfront and take a chilly dip in the Ohio River from the docks below the amphitheater.

The Plunge works just like a walk-a-thon with Polar Bears raising a bear minimum of $75 to take a chilly dip into the Ohio River off the docks near the Brown-Forman Amphitheater. Every Polar Bear receives the official Polar Plunge T-shirt, and participants who raise more money can earn even better rewards. The top three fundraisers will be entered in a drawing for a $1,000 travel voucher from AAA Travel.

For the first time this year, Polar Bears will have the option of taking the Plunge into the Ohio River from the docks below the Amphitheater or into a pool set up on the Amphitheater pad. The River Plunge will be first, followed by an intermission and then the Pool Plunge will wrap up the day.

And, as always, there will be the annual costume contest, which is annually one of the highlights of one of the craziest events of the winter.
