The Polar Plunge will celebrate its 15th Anniversary in Louisville on Saturday, February 23, when the Biggest Chill in Town hits the water once again at Tumbleweed on the Waterfront.
Be a part of 1,500 for 15 as we push to break the all-time Polar Bear record at the Louisville event with 1,500 people taking the Plunge for Special Olympics.
The Plunge works just like a walk-a-thon with Polar Bears raising a bear minimum of $75 to take a chilly dip into the Ohio River off the docks near Tumbleweed. Every Polar Bear receives and official Polar Plunge T-shirt and Polar Bear Club Certificate, but participants who raise more money can earn even better rewards. The top male and female fundraisers will be named King and Queen of the Plunge and the top younger fundraisers will be named Prince and Princess.
There will also be the annual costume contest, which is always one of the highlights of one of the craziest events of the winter.
Thank you to our 2012 sponsors!
